For the most part, this means you can only carry a SUP with a beach cruiser with a high rise set of cruiser bars. The standard bar sets have just under 4 inches of clearance for your board. Many SUPs are in the 4-5 inch width range. The good news is that it is relatively easy to bend the lower U shaped portion of the bars open to fit wider SUPs If you have an inflatable SUP, it is probably more like 6 inches thick.
